* MAJOR UPDATE!
Tommy is staying more busy than ever...if that is possible!!!
Here is a major update finally, we're sorry for the delay but our schedules are completely nuts right now...
* LOS ANGELES
Tommy is in LA right now for a 6 week work trip.
The main focus is on song writing this time but he will do a few sessions as well, Tommy will update the site weekly himself while there with news and pictures from his trip.
He jumped straight into action by working with legendary writer Holly Knight the first day, they wrote a killer tune for a very happening Swedish band.
* DEACON STREET PROJECT II

"Press release from MTM"
MTM Music are pleased to announce the signing of Tommy Denander's project Deacon Street 2 album for release in May.
The line-up will definitely wet every AOR / melodic rock fan's appetite!
The project Deacon Street originally started out with Tommy and his former partner Chris Demming (AOR, Spin Gallery), who had written songs together for various artists and found themselves with a lot of very good but unused AOR / melodic rock songs.
But, as Tommy points out, "Don't mistake it for a cheap and fast way to get some leftover songs out - If you're a serious fan of classy melodic rock you won't be disappointed with the quality of this release."
The new album by Deacon Street, II , now features even bigger names - Stan Bush, Christopher Cross, Jeff Watson (Night Ranger), Steve Morse (Kansas, Deep Purple), Reb Beach (Winger, Dokken), Bruce Gaitsch (Richard Marx, Madonna, Peter Cetera), Thomas Vikström (Talk Of The Town), Andreas Novak, Johan Fahlberg (Jaded Heart), Bobby Messano (Glen Burtnick, Fiona, Joe Lynn-Turner), Bill Leverty (Firehouse), Sayit and Lars Chriss (Lion's Share) among others.
II includes 14 great AOR / melodic rock songs in the vein of Journey and GIANT, enhanced by an admirable musician-ship, beautiful arrangements, and an excellent production.
This makes Deacon Street's II a definite must-have for fans of the artists mentioned above and of course for everyone who enjoys fine and well-produced AOR & melodic rock!
The release date is scheduled for May 20.
Here is the tracklist and featured vocalist:
01. Beautiful Chardaine - Peter Sundell . 02. LeAnn - Thomas Vikström . 03. When love is on the line - Johan Fahlberg . 04. Save me - Andreas Novak . 05. I Give This Promise - Chris Antblad . 06. Now We Cry For You - Stan Bush . 07. Second Comings - Andreas Novak . 08. (Kill us) On Another Day - Thomas Vikström . 09. The Promise Of Forever - Chris Antblad . 10. Misery - Andreas Novak . 11. Action - Thomas Vikström . 12. Easy As It Seems - Geir Rönning . 13. Them Changes - Tommy Denander . 14. Jason - All star.

JOPPE & LUKE
* PAUL STANLEY LIVES TO WIN ON NEW STUDIO RELEASE:
Joop from the Kiss Kollector Fanclub - www.kisskollector.com - was kind enough to e-mail this Paul Stanley album update:
Paul Stanley recently talked to ABC Radio Network's ePrep about his forthcoming solo album. Amongst other things, he revealed the title for his album Live To Win. Paul also confirmed he still hasn't found a label. It seems the KISS frontman is forced to go for different labels in different countries in stead of one label worldwide. Says Paul: "There's nothing worse, that I've seen in the past, [than] when you have a deal, let's say in America, and the company in Germany hates your album."
While Paul is still shopping his material to various labels, he expects his album to be available in four to six months. And as KISS Kollector Online reported a while ago, Paul is planning to do a solo tour. This time he wants to bring out a bigger band than he did in 1989 "because there's a lot more going on on this album." In 2004, Paul already told the Official Authorized KISS Magazine “There's great playing on the album there's strings everything is big and powerful, it's almost epic. The songs have almost a cinematic quality.” Strings have been arranged David Campbell (the father of Beck), known to KISS fans from the KISS Symphony show of course, while Paul has been co-writing songs with people like Desmond Child and Andreas Carlsson.
The main musicians on the album are guitarist Corky James, drummer Victor Indrizzo and keyboardist Russ Irwin, while former Marilyn Manson/David Lee Roth guitarist John Lowery played guitar on two tracks and also co-wrote a few songs. Former KISS guitarist Bruce Kulick played bass on 5 or 6 tracks as he recently told KISS Kollector Online, but didn't get to play guitar.
One of the guitarists playing on the title track is Swedish guitar player Tommy Denander who informed KISS Kollector Online not too long ago: “I did Wake Up Screaming at a small studio on Sunset Boulevard that they just hired for me, I did some other work for Andreas and Desmond that same day. When Paul liked what I had done he asked me to play on Live To Win and I did that at Desmond's studio... also on Sunset actually.”
Paul told ABC Radio Networks “[It's] some friends of mine - it's not a 'who's who.' I didn't want to do one of those albums where you list people and it becomes some sort of a, trying to impress everybody with names. So it's a great album. Everybody loves it." For much more details on Paul Stanley's upcoming solo album, check out the new issue of KISS Kollector magazine, out in a few days, which features part 1 of an indepth story on his solo album. It'll exclusively bring you the lowdown on Paul's album, with several of the musicians involved in the album sharing inside information on how things came about over the past three years that Paul has been working on his album. You'll find out what studios were used to record the material, how Paul hooked up with everybody involved and what the session musicians thought of working with Paul.

* BACK FROM LOS ANGELES AGAIN!!!
Tommy has just returned from another work trip to Los Angeles and tell you all about it himself....enjoy.
Los Angeles 2006 report.
Hey guys and girls, i recently got home from my third trip to Los
Angeles in a short time and i'm going back in march for a longer
stay again.....there's major things happening for me right now.....
This trip was the most fun and work rewarding i've ever
done and i met so many cool people i admire and i can't even remember
half of them haha....a short list include Steve Perry, Will Lee, Leland
Sklar, Nathan East, Lee Ritenour, John Shanks, Dave Navaro, Kings X, Mötley
Crue, Ozzy Osbourne, DJ Lethal, Toby Wright, Steve Porcaro, Simon Phillips,
Zack Wylde, Lemmy, Mike Inez, Rob Zombie, Kerry King, Queensryche, Megadeth,
John Norum, Carmine Appiece, Stevie Salas, Rick Marotta, Jerry Cantrell,
Mike Clink, Nuno Bettencourt, George Lynch, Adrian Belew, Alan Holdsworth,
Holly Knight, Alex Van Halen, Josh Freese, Geezer Butler, Abe Laboriel,
Michael Thompson, Moon Calhoun, Meredith Brooks, Gene Simmons, Alex Ligertwood,
Joe Lynn Turner, George Clinton, Bootsie Collins, Randy Jackson, John
Sykes, Marco Mendoza, Slipknot, George Benson, Jeff "Skunk"
Baxter, Marcus Miller, Tony Franklin, Richie Zito, Joe Porcaro, Fee Waybill....and
more!!!
During 2005 i made the decision to take my whole career to the next level and i'm really on my way now.
My main focus is on writing and producing for major
artists as well as doing some sessions but i'm pretty much leaving the melodic rock scene completely during this year.
I still have a few AOR albums coming out including the Frederiksen-Denander,
a second Deacon Street Project that is completed and signed, Jeff
Adams (Starship), a 4th Sayit album and a killer 3rd Prisoner album with a new and very exciting line up but together
with Stan Bush i decided that i shouldn't produce his album
cause i simply don't have the time right now and of course
he deserves to have someone who is 100% focused on the job....his
album will be a killer anyway!!
It would take too long to get into detail about everything i did
during this trip and all the stuff that's coming up so i'll make it a
little brief....
I had one of the finest evenings ever when my dear friend Michael Thompson played an amazing live set with his band at the cool La Ve Lee club in the valley, everybody knows what a great player he is on the countless mega albums he's done but he is also a fantastic
live performer and the band kicked serious ass including the
great Nate Morton (Rock star/INXS) on drums and Michael's son who made his live debut.
TOMMY & MOON CALHOUN
To our big and very nice surprise Moon Calhoun, the singer on the
classic MTB (Michael Thompson Band) album showed up together with
none other than mr Steve Perry!!!...
They were in great spirit through the whole show and shouted funny
remarks back and forth with the band and they ended the show with Moon going up to sing 3 great MTB songs live for the first time
ever and it was stunning....
I was introduced to Moon who turned out to be one of the nicest humans i've ever met and we're definently doing something together in the future and i was also introduced to Steve Perry which is one of the few big name artists i've been
dying to meet....and of course work with!!.
We got along great right away and decided to start writing together when i go back in march and i can only dream what cool stuff we
can create together....
One of my dearest friends for 20 years now is Dave Weiderman at Guitar Center, commonly known as "the God father of
LA" because few people are as powerful in this city as he is...
Among many things he is the head of the stunning Rock Walk museum
and by luck they held the introduction party for guitarist Zack
Wylde this time and of course Dave treated us with VIP passes.
------------
CISSI - OZZY OSBOURNE - TOMMY------------------------------------------TOMMY
& CISSI with ZACK's guitar
Both of these photo's are taken by the legendary rock photographer Robert Knight who took all the amazing classic pictures of Jimi Hendrix and Led Zeppelin etc!!!
It was a very fun day getting to mingle with Zack, Ozzy Osbourne, Lemmy,
Rob Zombie, Jerry Cantrell (Alice In Chains), Mike Inez, Mike Clink,
Carmine Appiece, Stevie Salas, John Norum, Jim Ladd and many others....

ZACK WYLDE - TOMMY---------------------------------------------------------RADIO
LEGEND JIM LADD - TOMMY
------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------------------THE
EDGE
Dave also invited me a week later to a private party with U2 guitarist The Edge where he was signing 30 custom made Gibson Les Paul's to be auctioned off for charity,
he also played one of them with U2 on the Grammy awards.
TOMMY - MEREDITH BROOKS
During this party I met and became friends with singer Meredith Brooks (remember the huge hit Bitch?) and we will do some work together soon, she's got her own record label today and has some
very exciting new artists coming up including a young talented girl called Bec Hollcraft who me and my buddy Russel
Ali will write with.
------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------JOSH
FREESE - TOMMY - ALEX VAN HALEN
And Dave was very kind to introduce me over lunch to none
other than Alex Van Halen....anyone who knows me know what
a huge Van Halen fan i am so this was really cool....you're the
best Dave!!!
Also on this lunch was the number 1 rock session drummer
in LA Josh Freese.

NAMM SHOW IN ANAHEIM
I also went to the huge NAMM show for the first time in many years and i love going there cause you always meet so many cool people.
JOHN SHANKS - TOMMY
My favorite producer/song writer these days is John Shanks who won the Grammy last year for "producer of the
year" and we've decided to do some writing together soon.
John has recently produced and written for Bon
Jovi, Backstreet Boys, Kelly Clarkson, Celine Dion, Sherly Crow, Hilary
Duff and of course both of Ashlee Simpson's successful albums.

WINTER
I met several dear friends that i've worked with over the years
including Tony Franklin, Fee Waybill, Alex Ligertwood, Abe Laboriel,
Mattias "IA" Eklundh, Nathan East, Simon Phillips as well as running into a lot of cool people like Gene Simmons, Geezer
Butler, George Benson,Will Lee, Leland Sklar, Lee Ritenour, Kings
X, Mötley Crue, Kerry King, Queensryche, Megadeth, Rick Marotta,
Nuno Bettencourt, George Lynch, Adrian Belew, Alan Holdsworth, George
Clinton, Bootsy Collins, Randy Jackson, John Sykes, Marco Mendoza, Slipknot,
Jeff "Skunk" Baxter, Marcus Miller etc...and one of the
finest moments was meeting Joe and Eileen Porcaro and getting
a chance to talk to them about my wonderful years with Jeff,
they're such a lovely couple, i even got a chance to see Joe perform
with other great drummers like Alex Acuna.
JOE PORCARO & TOMMY
Another really cool thing was becoming a voting member for
the american Grammy's and i will attend it next year for the first
time which i look forward to already...
TOMMY & JOE LYNN TURNER
One of my all time favorite singers is the living legend Joe
Lynn Turner (Deep Purple, Rainbow) who i've met before but this time
we really decided to start doing some serious work together and
i can't wait to see what will come out of it.
Joe is also one of the most down to earth people i've met...and that means
a lot to me since i hate plastic, fake and big headed people...
I also met my dear friend Phillip Bardowell again and he was kind
enough to introduce me to the great producer Richie Zito who was a truly great person as well and i hope to get a chance and work for him some day....Phillip and i
have a killer band thing going on with another very good singer named David Victor but i'll tell you more about this in
a few weeks....
I really had a blast at the NAMM show and i also ended up with 4 new endorsments
from EMG picups, Morley pedals, Xotic pedals and BBE effects.
The main reason for this trip was of course to write some new songs, produce some of the stuff i wrote on the last trip and as always to meet new contacts and through my new great friend and song writing partner Russel Ali, who is also a monster
guitar player and song writer BTW!!!, i was introduced to a very good new band called Sick Puppies who are recording their first album right now and we ended up writing 3 really good
songs together and 2 of them will appear on the album....i
love these guys and can't wait to see them as soon as i'm back in march!...
SHIM (Sick Puppies) & RUSSEL IN MY HOTEL ROOM
Russel also hooked me up with 2 huge talents during this
trip, Dj Lethal from Limp Bizkit and House Of Pain and rock producer/engineer supreme Toby Wright (Kiss, Korn, Alice
In Chains, Ozzy etc)....stay tuned to my site during the coming months
for some huge news about my work with them!!!!

JOHN FUGELSANG
I have a wierd sence of humor and sometimes feel the urge to do things most people absolutely wouldn't haha...like
running into John Fugelsang (Americas funniest home videos with
Daisy Fuentes) while he was filming his new TV show for
the TV Guide network in Hollywood and ending up singing (!) the Swedish national anthem with John and his co-host...they can't speak swedish so they made a "perfect"
fake version and it was really funny....apparently it aired
the day after.....i just hope that this will be my 15 minutes
of fame in HAHA....

-------------------STEVE & MARJORIE
MAYE --------------------------------------------STEVE
& TOMMYSTEV
My favorite song writing partner in the world and one of the sweetest
persons i've known ever is Marjorie Maye (Celine Dion, Destiny's
Child) and we've been working a lot since last summer, she
even co-wrote 2 songs on my last Radioactive album.
We're working on some very strong music for various big artists right now and i brought her in to start working with my
buddy Steve Porcaro (Toto) and we ended up writing a couple of great songs....much more will come from this trio....
The song writing side of my life has always been a favorite and i've had close to 1000 songs recorded on albums over
the years including some nice hits lately and new songs coming out soon with artists like Sick Puppies in USA and here in Sweden for Cecilia Wennersten and The Poodles plus of course lot's of songs on the Frederiksen-Denander, Jeff
Adams and new Deacon Street albums...
One of the best things about writing around the world is the lovely
people i get to work with like Andreas Carlsson, Marjorie, Steve
Porcaro, Christian Ingebrigtsen, Jim Peterik, Steve Lukather, Stan Bush,
Russel, Björn Lindbom etc and one of my dearest new friends is the lovely Andrea Remanda who's worked a lot with Bryan Adams,
sung with Prince and has lot's of cool stuff happening for
her right now.
ANDREA IN THE STUDIO
We've written several really strong songs lately and during this trip she brought me together with to one of my all time
favorite writers Holly Knight.
HOLLY KNIGHT & TOMMY
Holly has written classics like "Simply the best" (Tina Turner), "Ragdoll" (Aerosmith), "Hide Your
Heart" (Kiss) and "Love is a battlefield" (Pat
Benatar) to mention just a few, i became a huge fan of her
when i moved to LA in 1987 she was the singer and song writer ina band called Device, they had a great hit called "Hanging on a heart attack" that i loved to pieces
so it's a great honor to start working with her....
There's soooo much more going on for me in LA but
it's too early to talk about it so i'll leave it for now.....i'll
just end with saying that i had the best time and i can't
wait to go back soon again....
Cheers
Tommy
